Do I need a wedding caterer?

Wedding planning is filled with many important decision, many will be simple while others may be a bit more difficult.

One of the most important decision regarding your wedding is how to feed your guests. A well fed guest will carry them on dancing in to the night.

So do you need a wedding caterer?

Well this all depends on the venue you have chosen. If your venue does not offer catering then you will need a caterer.

Hotels tend to offer catering in house but barns, halls, and marquees all tend to require an outside caterer and this is where we you have a bit more control over what you would like to offer your guests.

A good wedding caterer can contain a large knowledge base as to advise on menu choice, It is advised that you make full use of this when making your menu choices.

What type of catering is required?

The catering required all depends on what sort of venue you have chosen and how you would like your day to flow.

Catering can come in many forms from formal sit down meals to a more relaxed affair.

Once you have booked your venue and have a good idea on guest numbers then you can start to think about what it is you would like to offer.

For a more relaxed wedding breakfast you could opt for a buffet style. You would choose from a range of dishes and guests can get the choice over what it is they would like and to some extend how much they put on their plates.

Price for a buffet style wedding breakfast can vary dependant on whether you have a hot or cold buffet and how many menu choices you require.

If you believed a buffet to be a bit boring then why not think outside the box. Many have chosen in the past to theme their buffets towards a theme, for example American, fish, seasonal, Indian, burger bar etc…

For a more formal meal then a good 3 or even 5 course table served meal will impress. With a meal chosen by yourselves or a choice if your budget allowed.
